Bevon Robin

Bevon Robin is in his first season as assistant men’s basketball coach at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Robin’s primary role is assisting the head coach with player development.

A native of Guyana, Robin is a 2001 graduate of Fordham University, a Division I institution which competes out of the prestigious Atlantic 10 Conference.

While at Fordham, Robin was a four year member of the men’s basketball program (1997-2001) where he was the starting point guard each year and served as a team captain during his final three seasons. He was named the Fordham University male Athlete of the Year in 2001 and was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Year in 1997. To date, he is Fordham’s third all-time leading scorer amassing1,793 points in 110 career games (16.3 ppg). He was inducted into the Fordham University Hall-of-Fame in 2007.

Robin is a 1996 graduate of Rice High School in New York City, where he was named a first team New York City All-Star and helped lead the Raiders to the 1996 Catholic High School Athletic Association championship game and was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.

In addition, Robin was a 2001 NBA Draft prospect and played one season of semiprofessional basketball in Europe.
