Assistant Coach

Idiris Alaka is in his first season as assistant men’s basketball coach at John Jay College.

A New York City native, Alaka previously served as assistant men’s basketball coach at Alfred State College.

And prior to that, Alaka played for Alfred State from 2006-08 where he was a point guard and shooting guard. He received his Associates Degree in Sport Management.

He resides in Brooklyn, N.Y.
