Brooklyn, N.Y.— The month of June closed out in grand style for the John Jay College athletics department as the Bloodhounds participated in a big way at the City University of New York's (CUNY) CUNY Night at MCU Park.
A large crowd was on hand, many of which were students, faculty, staff and alumni of the institutions that make up the CUNY system to see the Brooklyn Cyclones (a minor league affiliate of the New York Mets) defeat the Hudson Valley Renegades (affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) 8-3.
Several John Jay College student-athletes were on hand, capitalizing on the free tickets courtesy of CUNY and the Cyclones.
The athletics department also issued free t-shirts to John Jay folks in attendance.
“The evening was a tremendous success,” said John Jay College Director of Athletics, Dan Palumbo. “I want to thank CUNY for their outstanding work and the Brooklyn Cyclones for their very gracious hospitality.”
