John Jay College of Criminal Justice Department of Athletics, Recreation and Intramurals has announced it will host its annual athletics awards banquet on Wednesday evening May 15, 2013 in the main gymnasium at Haaren Hall starting with a meet and greet at 5:30 p.m. ET.
The awards banquet promises to be a night of celebration, filled with excitement. There will be awards, music, food, raffles, prizes, photos and a chance to celebrate with the John Jay athletics department.
It is the 40th time the end of the year awards banquet will take place, and the event will have the theme, “Bloodhounds Moving Forward.”
The event will feature many of the same successful traditions John Jay student-athletes have been accustomed to, as well as many aspects incorporated by new Director of Athletics,
Carol Kashow, who oversaw them at Hostos Community College with a great amount of success. There will be several new awards never given at John Jay banquets, and so much more.
The athletics awards banquet is free for all John Jay student-athletes, coaches, athletics staff and select special guests. Each student-athlete is also permitted to invite one family member each, free of charge. Any additional guests will have to pay a twenty dollar fee.
The deadline to RSVP is Wednesday May 1 at 5 p.m. ET. Those wishing to RSVP may do so online
here. For guests wishing to RSVP, full payment is required by May 1 and can be made during regular business hours at the equipment room, located on the third floor of Haaren Hall. Cash, money order, and cashier's check are the only acceptable methods of payment (no credit cards, debit cards or personal checks will be accepted).
The 40th annual John Jay College of Criminal Justice Department of Athletics, Recreation and Intramurals awards banquet is a formal affair, so appropriate attire is required upon admission.
