New York, N.Y. — For the second year in a row, the John Jay rifle team has taken first place in the Big Apple Rifle Championship as the Bloodhounds defeated SUNY Maritime and Hofstra University to reclaim the prize. John Jay fired a 2182 in Air Rifle, while SUNY Martime scored a 2093. Hofstra scored a 1627 in the match.
The Bloodhounds were led by
Stephen Wilson (Freeport, NY, Freeport)who shot a 569, followed by
Stephen Zawislak (Valley Stream, NY, Valley Stream South) with a 562.
Jenna Hansen (Middletown, NY, Middletown) scored a 550, and
Janet Pepple (Bronx, NY, Herbert H. Lehman), a 501.
