New York, N.Y.— The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) has announced that John Jay softball player Kalyssa Daley has been named the conference's Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 10.
Daley had a solid week helping the Bloodhounds to their first two conference wins of the season with a sweep over Lehman College last Thursday.
In six games last week, Daley batted .313 (5-for-16) with four runs, two doubles and five runs batted in.
She started out the week by going 1-for-3 with two runs batted in against NYU-Polytechnic on April 6, John Jay's first game in over a week. She followed that up by going a combined 3-for-5 with two doubles, four runs and three runs batted in against Lehman the next day. She also got a hit in the doubleheader against St. Joseph's-Long Island to round out the week.
On the season, Daley is batting .333 (10-for-30) with nine runs, three doubles and seven runs batted in.
