Mission Statement:
 
The mission of the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity for all student-athletes, protecting student-athlete welfare, and fostering a positive student-athlete image, while maintaining the tenants of the Division III philosophy.
 

Goals:
 
  • To make the student-athlete's time at John Jay College fun and rewarding
  • Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus by celebrating and generating excitement for our unique community
  • Building a sense of community within the athletics program involving all athletic teams
  • Providing a student-athlete voice within the department, discussing issues and concerns, and providing feedback as necessary
  • Encouraging active involvement of student-athletes for community service projects
  • Emphasizing the need of support from faculty and staff for all athletic programs
  • Fostering achievement of academic and athletic goals
