Naomi Randolph has been named the interim women's swimming coach at John Jay College of Criminal Justice effective September 2015, Director of Athletics Carol Kashow has announced.

"I am very excited to join the John Jay College Athletics Department as the interim head coach for the swim team," Randolph said. "This is a talented group of athletes and I look forward to coaching them through the upcoming season."

Randolph was the head swim coach at Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School on the Upper West Side from 2003-2015. Her team was AAIS League Varsity Swim Champions in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and ACIS League Varsity Swim Champions in 2015.

As part of her coaching, she used goal setting initiatives to develop each athlete as they determine, assess, and train for their individual swim goals. Randolph also designed and implemented customized dry land and weight training programs specific to the needs of each athlete. She is also a head teacher at the school for kindergarten and first grade. 

The Bronx native is a graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her Master's in Early Childhood Education from City College (CCNY).
