Maimonides Park
Maimonides Park (formerly MCU Park) is one of the homes of the John Jay baseball team. It is located on Surf Avenue in the historic Coney Island section of Brooklyn, NY and is a landmark in the community. The park is home to the New York Mets Class A affiliate Brooklyn Cyclones. In 2012, it was named the "Most Fun Ballpark in Minor League Baseball" by Fox News.Â
Located just steps from Coney Island's famed boardwalk, Maimonides Park sits under the majestic Parachute Jump, with both the Atlantic Ocean and the historic amusement parks visible just beyond the ballpark's outfield walls.
The ballpark features a FieldTurf artificial surface with only the mound and homeplate circle consisting of dirt. Official seating capacity is 7,500. The dimensions are 315 feet to left field, 325 feet to right, and 412 feet to center.
