Box Score Brooklyn, N.Y.-The John Jay College men's soccer team earned a trip to the 2006 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) playoffs by earning a 2-2 tie against New York City Tech on Saturday afternoon.
The tie leaves John Jay at 2-11-2 (1-3-2 CUNYAC) on the season.
Madalin Niculae (Bucharet, Romania/Grover Cleveland) and Joceny Theresias (St. Louis-Du-Nord, Haiti/Metropolitan) each scored a goal a piece, and Mohamed Maharem (Cairo, Egypt/ MTS) added an assist in the tie.
Edwin Casas (Bogota, Colombia/ South Side) made eight saves in net.
John Jay will return to action on Wed. Oct. 18 against Hunter College, for their final home games of the season, 3:30 p.m. at Riverbank State Park.
