Lincoln College, Pa- The John Jay men's soccer team lost a close one as they fell to Lincoln University, 2-1 on Friday afternoon.

Bart Malinowski (Warsaw, Poland/ Park West) scored the loan goal, his second in as many games, as John Jay now stands at 2-6 on the season.

The Bloodhounds trailed 2-0 late in the contest until Malinowski's goal in the 86th minute of play.

After being outshot 9-2 in the opening stanza, John Jay outshot Lincoln 13-10 in the second half, with six coming off the foot of Malinowski.

Fellow teammates, Slawomir Balon (Brooklyn, NY/ Fort Hamilton), Madalin Niculae (Bucharest, Romania/ Grover Cleveland), and Christian Tapia (Fresh Meadows, NY/ Central Islip) chipped in with two shots a piece for the Bloodhounds.

Edwin Casas (Bogota, Colombia/ South Side) made nine saves in the loss.

John Jay will return to action on Mon. Sept. 25 for a home contest with Farmingdale State at 3:30 p..m.
