New York, N.Y.-- The John Jay College men's soccer team fell to No. 19 ranked New Jersey City University 5-0 at Riverbank State Park on Wednesday afternoon.

The loss now puts John Jay at 0-2 on the season while NJCU is now 2-1.

After leading 1-0 at halftime, the visiting Gothic Knights poured on four goals in the second stanza en route to the 5-0 decision.

NJCU outshot the Bloodhounds 23-5.

Edwin Casas (Bogota, Colombia/ South Side) recorded 9 saves in the loss.

John Jay returns to action on Sat. Sept. 9 at St. Joseph's-Patchogue in day one of the St. Joseph's-Patchogue weekend tournament at 2 p.m..
