Morristown, N.J.— The John Jay women’s tennis team lost at the College of St. Elizabeth losing 5-4 on Wednesday. John Jay is now 3-8 (3-2 CUNYAC) on the season. Daisy Rivera (Bronx, NY / HS of Law, Gvt. and Justice) and Elizabeth Cyran (Wood Ridge, NJ / Paramus Catholic) teamed for an 8-0 win in first doubles, while Pamela Moreno (New York, NY / A. Phillip Randolph) and Stephanie Pierre (Brooklyn, NY / Clara Barton) teamed for an 8-0 win in second doubles. Rivera and Cyran also scored victories in singles as Rivera won at No. 1, 10-1 as did Cyran at No 2 singles. John Jay returns to action on Mon. Oct. 15 against Medgar Evers College, 3:30 p.m. at Fordham University.
