Men's Soccer Loses to New York City Tech

Queens, N.Y.— The John Jay men’s soccer team lost a tough one on Saturday as the Bloodhounds were defeated at home by New York City Tech, 1-0. John Jay now stands at 6-8-2 (4-2-1 CUNYAC) with two regular season games remaining.
 
The visiting Yellow Jackets recorded the lone goal of the contest in the 66th minute and it proved to be enough.
 
The Bloodhounds were out shot 11-4 in the contest, including 3-2 on goal.
 
Hiromi Karahashi (Kanagawa, Japan / St. Johnsbury) and Jonathan Cedeno (Guayaquil, Ecuador / Long Island City) recorded the lone shots on net for the Bloodhounds. Steven Castillo (Maspeth, NY / Forest Hills) and Kamal Haruna (Accra, Ghana / Martin Luther King) also recorded a shot apiece for John Jay.
 
Kemar Brown (Kingston, Jamaica / Van Buren) made his second consecutive start and recorded two saves for John Jay.
 
John Jay will return to action on Mon. Oct. 15 at Rutgers-Newark at 7 p.m.
