Baseball Sweeps Baruch in 2007 Conference and Home Openers

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Brooklyn, N.Y.-- The John Jay baseball team opened their 2007 conference and home schedule with a pair of wins on Saturday as the Bloodhounds defeated the Baruch Bearcats 6-0 and 12-9. In the first game the Bloodhounds were led by senior pitcher John Dobkowski who went the distance allowing three hits, while striking out seven. Offensively John Jay was sparked by Henry Chao who went 2-for-2 with a double and three runs batted in. In game two John Jay was led by John DeCrescenzo, who went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and four runs batted in.Michael Colletta earned the win going 5.1 innings, allowing two earned runs, while striking out four. John Jay will be back in action on Sunday for a single game against Baruch at 5 p.m. at the College of Staten Island Baseball Stadium Complex.  Game 1      Game 2
