Ramapo, N.J. – The John Jay men’s soccer team fell to 1-1 on the season as the Bloodhounds were defeated by Ramapo College, losing to the Roadrunners 4-0 in day two of the President’s Cup tournament hosted by Ramapo College.
The host Roadrunners got on the board in the 13th minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Ramapo then broke the game open late scoring three insurance goals in the final 29 minutes to preserve the win.
John Jay recorded six shots on goal. Oscar Garcia (East Elmhurst, NY / St. Francis Prep), who scored the game winning goal in Friday’s season opener, ripped a team-high two shots in the contest.
Kemar Brown (Kingston, Jamaica / Van Buren) made seven saves in net for the Bloodhounds.
John Jay will return to action on Wed. Sept. 5 at New Jersey City University at 4 p.m.
