Rifle Shoots Past Hofstra in Small Bore

Uniondale, N.Y.— The John Jay rifle team cruised to a victory on Saturday in a small bore match as the Bloodhounds defeated Hofstra University 2163 – 921. John Jay’s 2163 was just three points shy of the school record of 2166.

For John Jay, Stephen Zawislak fired a team-high 565 in the win, while Stephen Wilson smoked the targets for a 558. Dmitry Gordeychuk blasted a 541 and Jenna Hansen drilled a 499 in the event.

John Jay also had four other team members who recorded scores, but did not count in the team score includes Fiorella Villar (460), John Retsis (457), Mateusz Fusiek (447) and Yizzel Sanchez (304).
