New York, N.Y.— The John Jay women’s swimming team fell on the road Tuesday evening as the Bloodhounds fell to Hunter College, 58-28, at Hunter’s Brookdale Campus.

 

With the loss, John Jay is 0-3 (0-2 CUNYAC) on the season.

 

Kaili Insalaco earned a win in the 500 yard freestyle (6:50.75).

 

After claiming first place in the meets opening race (200 yard medley relay), host Hunter College finished first and second in the next two events to take a 23-1 lead after three events.

 

But John Jay cut into the deficit with back to back second place finishes. Insalaco claimed second in the 50 yard freestyle (29.29), while Ashley Stewart and Jezebel Erazo finished second and third in the 200 yard individual medley. Stewart came home in 3:03.00, while Erazo’s time was 3:06.92.

 

But Hunter claimed first and second in the next three events to secure the lead, en route to winning the event.

 

John Jay returns to action on Mon. Nov. 17 at Lehman College at 7 p.m.
