Women's Swimming Falls to USMMA

Kings Point, N.Y.— The John Jay women's swimming team fell to the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) on Thursday as the Bloodhounds fell to the Mariners 108-76. 

Nathalie Cuellar (New Rochelle, NY, New Rochelle) was a winner in the 100 yard backstroke (1:17.49) for the Bloodhounds lone win at the meet. She also finished second in the 200 yard butterfly (1:24.29).

John Jay also had second place finishes in several other races, including the 50 yard freestyle where Kaili Insalaco (Ridgefield Park, NJ, Flagler Palm Coast) earned the place spot (31.65). She also scored a second place finish in the 100 yard freestyle (1:14.32) and 500 yard freestyle (6:58.38). 

Ashley Stewart (Lacey Township, NJ, Lacey Township) was the runner up in the 200 yard individual medley (2:49.51).
