Softball Falls to Hunter in Opening Game of Double Elimination Tournament

The John Jay softball team was defeated in the first game of the 2008 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) double elimination softball championship as the Bloodhounds were defeated by Hunter College 4-0 at the CSI Softball Complex on Friday. John Jay was held to two hits in the contest. Marlenne Nunez was 1-for-3, while Angela Lam was 1-for-1. Pitching wise Lam went six full and allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits with one strikeout. John Jay will now await to play the loser of game two (Baruch vs. Staten Island) at 4 p.m. this afternoon.
