Men's Soccer Loses to Hunter

New York, N.Y.— John Jay starting goalkeeper Joseph Rahilly (Malverne, NY, Malverne)made a season-high 15 saves on Saturday evening and allowed just one goal, but John Jay failed to get a goal into the net as the Bloodhounds were defeated by Hunter College 1-0 on Randall's Island.

With the loss, John Jay is now 2-9-2 overall and 1-4-2 in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) play as the Bloodhounds remain in ninth place in the standings with two CUNYAC matches to go.

Hunter's lone goal came early in the second half as Oscar Dotti put one in at 47:11 on a header.

The goal proved to be all the host Hawks would need. The Bloodhounds recorded four shots in the contest, two of which were on goal as Hunter goalkeeper Alexandre Ilic made two saves in the contest.

John Jay returns to action on Mon. Oct. 12 for a match at SUNY Maritime at 7 p.m.
