Box Score Staten Island, N.Y.— The John Jay women's tennis team was defeated by Polytechnic University 7-2 in a non conference match at the College of Staten Island Tennis Complex on Sunday afternoon. The Bloodhounds' wins came at third doubles as Cynthia Molina (Bronx, NY, Aquinas)and Jessica Rodriguez (Brooklyn, NY, Fashion) were victorious and at No. 6 singles where Rodriguez was a winner. John Jay is back in action on Mon. Oct. 5 for a match against the City College of New York at 3 p.m. on Roosevelt Island.
