Men’s Tennis Wins for Fifth Day in a Row, Defeats Albertus Magnus 7-0

New Haven, Ct.— The John Jay men's tennis team wrapped up what was arguably the most successful week in program history with a 7-0 win at Albertus Magnus College on Sunday. The win, which was John Jay's fifth in a row on five straight days, improves the Bloodhounds to 8-3 overall this season.

The Bloodhounds swept through doubles play to jump out to a 3-0 lead. And with only four courts available, John Jay swept through Nos. 1 and 4-6 to secure the win. Rogelio Gutierrez (Brooklyn, NY, Leon M. Goldstein)was a winner at No. 5 winning 6-0 and 6-0 and teammate Tim Smith (Poughkeepsie, NY, Our Lady of Lourdes) did the same.

John Jay returns to action on Tue. Apr. 21 for a home match against York College at 3:30 p.m.
