Jamaica, N.Y.— The John Jay women's tennis team was defeated by Rutgers-Newark University 8-1 in a non conference match at the York College Tennis Complex on Monday afternoon. The combination of Ashley Marrero (Bronx, NY, Lehman) and Seidron Snipe (Bronx, NY, County Prep) were a winner at No. 1 doubles winning 8-4. John Jay is back in action on Fri. Oct. 2 for a home match with Medgar Evers College at 3:30 p.m. at the York College Tennis Complex.
