New York, N.Y.— The John Jay women's soccer team suffered its worst defeat in program history on Friday afternoon as the Bloodhounds were defeated by New York University 10-0 at Pier 40.
John Jay is now 2-8-0 overall this season. The host Violets scored five goals in the first and five more in the second to win by 10.
Marcelina Kopec (Staten Island, NY, Franklin D. Rooselvelt) made four saves in goal for the Bloodhounds.
NYU attempted thirty-six shots in the contest, including 24 in the first half.
John Jay is back in action on Monday Oct. 26 at SUNY Purchase at 7 p.m.
