Jamaica, N.Y.— The John Jay women's tennis team was defeated by nine-time defending City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) champion Hunter College 9-0 at the York College Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon.

With the loss, John Jay is now 4-7 (4-3 CUNYAC) this season, while Hunter improves to 9-0 (7-0 CUNYAC).

The Bloodhounds lost their doubles sets 8-4, 8-0, 8-1 respectively from Nos. 1 through 3.

John Jay lost all its singles matches in two sets each.

John Jay returns to action on Fri. Oct. 8 for a home match against New York City Tech at 3:30 p.m. at the York College Tennis Complex.
