Jamaica, N.Y.— The John Jay women's tennis team guaranteed themselves a record of over .500 in City University of Athletic Conference play after the Bloodhounds downed conference foe New York City Tech, 8-1 at the York College Tennis Complex on Friday.

With the win, John Jay improved to 5-7 overall and 5-3 in CUNYAC with one conference match remaining.

It is also the first time John Jay women's tennis will finish over .500 in CUNYAC since the 2006 season.

John Jay will wrap up its 2010 conference schedule on Sunday with a match at the College of Staten Island at 3 p.m.
