Florham, N.J.— The John Jay women's basketball team was defeated on the road as the Bloodhounds fell to Farleigh Dickenson University – Florham Campus (FDU Florham) 77-47 on Tuesday evening.
With the loss, John Jay is now 0-3 overall this season.
The Bloodhounds were led by
Dominique Grice with her first double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds. She was the only member of the Bloodhounds to reach double figures in scoring on the evening.
Allana Beddoe knocked in eight points for John Jay.
Jamecia Forsythe grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and had three blocks.
FDU Florham was led by Shaleah Alston with 26 points.
The host Devils took a big lead early and led by as much as 19 in the first half when they led 36-17 with 3:15 to play.
After leading by fifteen at halftime at 38-23, FDU Florham opened on a 7-0 run in the second half to lead 45-23 with just under two minutes gone by.
FDU led by as much as 34 in the contest before the game ended.
John Jay is back in action on Tuesday November 30 for its 2010-11 home and conference opener against Hunter College at 5 p.m.
