Bloodhounds Lose Heartbreaker To St. Joe's Brooklyn

Brooklyn, N.Y. - In a wild game that saw six lead changes, John Jay baseball lost 13-14 to St. Joe's Brooklyn in a non-conference match-up.  With a six-run lead in the fifth inning, the Bloodhounds couldn't hold on, falling to 2-9 while the Bears improved to 1-2 on the season.

John Jay was led by freshman Nick Catalano, who went four-for-five with three runs scored with an RBI while senior captain Edwin Hernandez was three-for-six with a run scored and three RBI.  Sophomore Steven Kendrick was three-for-four with two RBI.

For St. Joe's, Joe Harten hit a three-run walk-off home run to win the game in the ninth to win the game for the Bears.

The Bloodhounds return to action at home on Sunday, March 21st, facing SUNY Oswego in a doubleheader a noon at American Legion Fields in Brooklyn, N.Y.
