Brooklyn, N.Y.— The John Jay men's tennis team won again on Monday and for the third time this season it was a 9-0 sweep as the Bloodhounds shutout Brooklyn College at the Brooklyn College Tennis Complex.
With the win, John Jay is now 8-1 overall and 5-1 in City University of New York Athletic Conference play.
Earlier this season, John Jay swept past Rutgers-Newark (4/1) and Albertus Magnus (4/14), making this the third time John Jay blanked the opposition, and the first time against a conference opponent.
Josh Pagan (Douglaston, NY, Benjamin Cardozo) and Ben Jorgensen (New York, NY, Wooster) easily won at No. 2 doubles 8-1, while the other scores were 8-5 at both No's. 1 and 3.
At singles play, Derrick Chung (San Diego, CA, Rancho Buena Vista) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5, while Dong Shao was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 2.
