New York, N.Y.— The John Jay women's swimming team lost a match at home on Thursday evening as the Bloodhounds fell to conference rival Baruch College 64-30 at the John Jay Pool.
The loss moves John Jay's record to 2-5 (1-4 CUNYAC), while Baruch is now 7-3 (6-0 CUNYAC).
The visiting Bearcats won the first three events of the evening to take a large lead early.
The Bloodhounds picked up a win in the 50 yard freestyle as
Kaili Insalaco scored a first place finish (30.76).
John Jay also picked up second and third place in the 100 yard freestyle as
Billie Jean Kuppler finished second (1:15.38), with Toro-Plaza finishing right behind (1:15.58).
John Jay returns to action on Tue. Jan. 18 for a home meet against Brooklyn College at 6 p.m.
