Box Score Staten Island, N.Y.— The John Jay women's soccer team was defeated by the College of Staten Island 5-0 at the CSI Soccer Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The loss drops John Jay to 4-7-0 (2-2-0 CUNYAC) on the season.
The Bloodhounds were outshot by the host Dolphins 34-3 in the contest, including 17-2 in shots on net.
CSI took a 1-0 lead into halftime. The lone goal of the first half was scored by Gabriela Galeano in the forty-third minute.
CSI then scored four goals in the second half to complete the season sweep of the Bloodhounds (CSI defeated John Jay on Sept. 17).
The five goals scored by the Dolphins were scored by five different players. After Galeano's first half goal, the second half goals were scored by Lauren Neglia (61:43), Demi-Jean Martorano (62:07), Samantha Wysokowski (72:59) and Matea Marie DeNoble (82:23).
Two of the three shots by the Bloodhounds were taken by
Alexis Ochoa, while
Jennifer Gomez took a shot.
Marcelina Kopec made 10 saves for the Bloodhounds.
