Mahwah, N.J.— The John Jay women's soccer team fell on the road, losing at Ramapo College 6-0 on Monday afternoon.
With the loss, John Jay falls to 4-10-0 overall this season, and the Bloodhounds losing streak extended to six games with five of those loses via shutouts.
The host Roadrunners outshot the Bloodhounds 41-1 in the contest, including 27-0 in the first half.
John Jay's lone shot near the net came off the foot of Jolene Richards in the second half.
Ramapo College had five different players scored two goals. Katie Popowych netted two goals for Ramapo, including one in the first half and another in the second half. Other Ramapo goals were scored by Susan Hayes, Erica Kunzig, Rebecca Maccia and Alison Arnold.
The Roadrunners scored three goals in the first 9:15 of the game, and led 4-0 at halftime.
Twenty-six of Ramapo's shots were fired on net.
Marcelina Kopec made a career-high 20 saves for the Bloodhounds.
John Jay is back in action on Wednesday October 12 at SUNY Old Westbury at 4 p.m.
