Bronx, N.Y.— The John Jay men's tennis team defeated the City College of New York (CCNY) 7-2 in the Bloodhounds' final regular season conference match of the 2011 men's tennis season.

With the win, John Jay improves to 5-6 overall and 5-3 in CUNYAC play. The Bloodhounds also secured the No. 4 seed for the conference championship where they will play against CCNY again on Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the tournament.

John Jay took two out of three in doubles play and the Bloodhounds won five of the six matches in singles play.

John Jay wraps up the regular season today with a match at Farmingdale State at 4 p.m.
