Farmingdale, N.Y.— The John Jay men's tennis team was defeated by Farmingdale State 6-3 in John Jay's final match before the conference championship tournament this weekend.

The Bloodhounds earned a win at No. 2 doubles as Stephen Walz and Andres Pantaloukas were a 9-8 (7-2) victor. At No. 1 Dong Shao and Erkut Cakmak lost narrowly 9-7.

Cakmak completed an undefeated day by winning at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-3. Kelvin Rodriguez lost the first set at No. 5 singles 1-6 before winning the second set 6-3. He won the super tie breaker 10-6.
