Brooklyn, N.Y.— Playing for the first time in over a week, the John Jay softball team lost a pair of games on Wednesday as the Bloodhounds lost to NYU Polytechnic University in both games of a doubleheader losing to the Blue Jays in game one 12-4 before falling in the nightcap 11-0.
With the losses, the Bloodhounds are now 3-7 overall this season.
In game one, the Bloodhounds were led by
Krystal Class and
Christina Perez with two hits each. Perez was 2-for-2 with a run, while Class was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs.
Kalyssa Daley had a pair of runs batted in in the contest.
In game two, the Bloodhounds were limited to four hits. Class,
Angela Lam,
Nelly Vega and
Kaitlyn Walsh had one hit each. Vega and Walsh's hits were doubles.
John Jay is back in action on Thursday for a doubleheader at Lehman College starting at 3:30 p.m.
