Women’s Swimming Earns Another Victory, Beats York 56-33

New York, N.Y.— The John Jay women's swimming team racked up another win on Tuesday evening as the Bloodhounds defeated York College, 56-33, at John Jay Pool.
 
The win improves John Jay's record to 4-1 (3-0 CUNYAC) this season.
 
John Jay got wins in the first three events of the evening to set the tempo. In the opening race, Kaylie Bruce, Jezebel Erazo, Samantha Valenzuela and Kaili Insalaco picked up a win in the 200 yard medley relay (2:22.84). Then in the 1,000 yard freestyle, Billie Jean Kuppler was victorious (15:22.49), before Vanessa Toro-Plaza earned the win in the 200 yard freestyle (2:33.46).
 
Later in the meet, Kuppler earned another win in the 100 yard butterfly (1:35.52). Bruce won the 100 yard backstroke (1:21.73), before Insalaco scored a win in the 500 yard freestyle (7:02.46).
