Women's Soccer Loses to Rutgers-Camden

MASPETH, N.Y.— The John Jay women's soccer team was defeated by Rutgers-Camden 6-0 at the Metropolitan Oval on Monday evening.
 
The loss for John Jay drops the Bloodhounds to 4-7 overall this season, while Rutgers-Camden improves to 3-8-1.
 
The visiting Scarlet Raptors scored three goals in the first half to lead 3-0 at halftime, before netting three more in the second half.
 
Rutgers-Camden outshot the Bloodhounds 40-3 in the contest, including 20-2 in the first half and 20-1 in the second half.
 
The Scarlet Raptors were led by Dawn Dixon with two goals and two assists, while teammate Rebecca Gougher had a pair of goals as well.
 
John Jay goalkeeper Katelyn Davis made 24 saves in the contest, while Samantha Guillen took two of the three shots by the Bloodhounds.
 
John Jay returns to action on Wednesday for a contest against Kings's College (NY) at 4 p.m. at SUNY Purchase soccer field.
