STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.— The John Jay women's soccer team was defeated on the road at the College of Staten Island (CSI), 5-0, on Saturday afternoon.
The loss drops John Jay to 4-8-0 (2-2-0 CUNYAC) this season.
CSI's Demi-Jean Martorano scored three goals in the contest, while Samantha Wysokowski and Megan Collins added a goal each in the game.
CSI scored two goals in the first half and three more in the second half. Martorano scored the first three goals in CSI's win, including both first half goals.
The host Dolphins outshot the Bloodhounds 41-7.
Bergelie Louis took three shots for John Jay, including one on goal.

Katelyn Davis made 19 saves in the contest. CSI's Cassandra Black played the first half and did not make a save, while Jennifer Coughlin played the second half and made one.
John Jay returns to action on Mon. Oct. 8 for a match against Rutgers-Newark at the Metropolitan Oval at 6 p.m.
