BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The John Jay men's soccer team came away with a 1-1 tie on Wednesday evening against York College at Aviator Field.
Nermin Kurtesi netted John Jay's lone goal in the contest, a strike at 84:01 to tie the score.
York took the lead initially late in the first half on a goal by Andre Adelson to put the host Cardinals up 1-0 just before halftime.
The statistical sheet showed an evenly played contest overall. John Jay held a slight 24-23 edge in shot attempts. York held a 12-6 advantage in the first half, while the Bloodhounds outshot York 16-7 over the next forty-five minutes. The Cardinals took four shots in the overtime sessions, while John Jay attempted two.
Kurtesi took a match-high seven shots in the match.
Vitecha Kochaon made seven saves for the Bloodhounds.
