Women's Soccer Loses Road Match at FDU-Florham

FLORHAM PARK, N.J.— The John Jay women's soccer team was defeated by Farleigh Dickinson University – Florham (FDU-Florham) 5-0 on Saturday afternoon.
 
John Jay is now 2-4-0 this season.
 
The Bloodhounds were held to one shot in the contest and were outshot 37-1 overall.
 
The host Devils got two goals each from Michelle Hickey and Claire Donohue, while Kim Overland added a score.
 
FDU-Florham scored all five of its goals in the first half to lead 5-0 at halftime. The Devils' first goal came just 3:05 into the game on a strike off a corner kick attempt. Then eight minutes later, FDU-Florham struck again to go up a pair. Then fifty seconds later, the Devils took a 3-0 lead after a goal in the twelfth minute. The home team scored its final two goals in the closing moments of the half to establish the five goal lead.
 
Bergelie Louis took John Jay's lone shot attempt in the contest, a strike in the second half.
 
Andrea Antoni made 13 saves for the Bloodhounds.
 
John Jay returns to action on Monday for a home contest against York College at 4 p.m.
