BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The John Jay men's soccer team earned its first win since their season opening victory with a 3-0 victory over Medgar Evers College at Aviator Field on Wednesday evening.
The win improves John Jay to 2-4-2 overall this season and unbeaten in conference play with a 1-0-1 CUNYAC record.
Goals were scored by Justin Orsino,
Navid Allah Morad and
Korede Griffith. Meanwhile starting goalkeeper
Vitecha Kochaon made three saves in the match, en route to his first shutout and win this season.
John Jay outshot the host Cougars 30-6 overall in the match, including 14-3 in the first half and 16-3 in the second half.
Ratko Rakocevic and Allah Morad took a match co-high five shots in the contest.
John Jay returns to action on Saturday for a contest against Baruch College at the Metropolitan Oval at 12 p.m.
