Box Score The women's tennis team fell to Hunter College, 8-1, on Friday afternoon at Queens College. The Bloodhounds drop to 2-12 (1-6 in CUNYAC) on the season while the Hawks improve to 4-5 overall (4-3 in CUNYAC).

John Jay's lone win came at number three singles when freshman Gabriela Baez defeated Stephanie Ahwireng, 4-6, 7-5, (10-8).

"Today was not the result we were looking for," head coach Lauren Mallon said. "We need to continue fighting the remainder of the season and hopefully get some momentum heading into the playoffs."

The Bloodhounds will have their last home match of the season on Tuesday, October 14 against the College of New Rochelle. The match will be played at the USTA Tennis Center and is scheduled to start at 4:00pm.
