Men's Soccer Falls to Richard Stockton

Box Score The men's soccer team fell to Richard Stockton, 5-0, on senior night at Randall's Island. With the loss, the Bloodhounds drop to 2-13-1 on the season (2-4 in CUNYAC) and the Ospreys improve to 10-3-2.

Before the game, John Jay recognized it's three seniors, William Ortiz, Steven Merino and Besian Shala.

Richard Stockton opened up the scoring five minutes into the game when Pat Rafferty scored on a penalty kick. Seventeen minutes later, Anthony Colofranson scored in the box to give the Ospreys a 2-0 lead heading into the second half.

Chris Katona netted the first two goals of the second half as the Ospreys defeated John Jay, 5-0.

Junior Vitecha Kochaon and Merino recorded five and two saves, respectively. Shala registered a team-high two shots along with one shot on net.

"Unfortunately we could not get a win for our seniors," head coach Nathan Bell said. "I was happy with the way we competed despite being down early."

The Bloodhounds will finish out the season playing conference games on the road. Their next match is against Hunter College on Saturday, October 19 at Randall's Island.
