Katelyn Davis Makes 32 Saves as Bloodhounds fall to Rutgers-Newark

Box Score The women's soccer team lost to Rutgers-Newark, 10-0, on Monday night in New Jersey. The Bloodhounds fall to 2-11 overall (2-2 in CUNYAC) and the Scarlet Raiders improve to 4-9-1.

Rutgers-Newark scored four goals in the first half as Cristina Estremera recorded a hat trick. In the second half, the Scarlet Raiders added six goals with Alexis Sutton finding the back of the net twice.

One of the bright spots for the Bloodhounds was sophomore goalkeeper Katelyn Davis. She recorded 32 saves in the contest.

"We knew tonight was going to be tough since we were playing short-handed," head coach Kamal Haruna said. "Katelyn played great for us in net."

The Bloodhounds will head to Brooklyn on Saturday, October 19 for a conference match at 12:00pm. The match will be played at Brooklyn College Field.
