Box Score The women's soccer team lost to Brooklyn College, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn. The Bloodhounds fall to 3-12 on the year (2-3 in CUNYAC) while the Bulldogs improve to 11-1 overall (4-1 in CUNYAC).Â
Brooklyn opened up the scoring in the 16th minute of the game when
Bergelie Louis scored off a rebound in the box. The rest of the half remained scoreless with the Bloodhounds getting limited opportunities.
The Bulldogs added a second goal fifteen minutes into the second half when Jordan Kerwin found the back of the net. That was all Brooklyn needed as they went on to defeat John Jay, 2-0.Â
Sophomore
Andrea Antoni made 14 saves for the Bloodhounds. Sophomore
Katelyn Davis recorded John Jay's lone shot.Â
"Our girls worked hard today despite missing a few players," head coach
Kamal Haruna said. "The end of the season is going to be a grind and we need to continue remaining strong mentally and physically."
The Bloodhounds are back in action on Monday, October 13, when they head to Aviator Field for a match against York University. The match is scheduled to start at 4:00pm.Â
