STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.--- The John Jay women's basketball team closed out its 2012-13 season with a 74-60 loss at the College of Staten Island on Sunday afternoon.
The Bloodhounds' regular season ends with a 13-12 overall record, and a 10-6 mark against CUNYAC teams. John Jay currently sits in fourth place in the standings, but can fall as Hunter College has one game remaining against the College of Staten Island. Hunter can tie for fourth with John Jay with a win in its season finale on Tuesday. Hunter owns the tie breaker however due to having a better record than John Jay in overall record against common non conference opponents. John Jay will play Hunter no matter what next Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the CUNYAC / Con Edison women's basketball championship.
On Sunday, the Bloodhounds were led by
Jamecia Forsythe with 17 points and 23 rebounds, while
Victoria Story added 16 points.
Tyana Hale added 10 points for the Bloodhounds.
CSI was led by Lisa Galasso with 20 points, while Nikki Fabozzi had 18 points and 11 rebounds.
