After a solid regular season that saw them win nine games, the John Jay softball team is set for battle as the Bloodhounds have earned the No. 5 seed for the 2013 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) / MCU softball championship and will play a play-in game against No. 4 seed Hunter College, 3 p.m. at Randall's Island Field 12 on Wednesday May 1.
If the Bloodhounds win that game, they will advance into the double elimination tournament on Friday May 3 where they will play top seeded Baruch College in the opening round at 10:30 a.m. at the College of Staten Island Softball Complex.
