DANBURY, CT - Senior Erkut Cakmak led the John Jay College men's tennis team to a 6-3 victory at Western Connecticut State University on Tuesday afternoon.

Cakmak pulled out a victory, along with Stephen Walz  at first flight doubles, over Brian Bucknamand Ryan Klem,  8-6.

After the Bloodhounds, now 5-3, went ahead 2-1 after pairs, the senior captain cruised to victory, over Bucknam at top solos, 6-1, 6-1.

Tight matches included second and third singles matches.

At second flight singles, Kelm defeated Luis Chirinos, 4-6, 6-2, 10-3.  Western's Chris Turner squeezed by Derrick Chung (San Diego, CA), 6-7 (7-9), 6-4, 10-6.
