NEW HAVEN, Conn.— The John Jay baseball team lost to Albertus Magnus College 6-4 at Quigley Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Bloodhounds pounded out 11 hits, while out hitting the home team 11-6.
Nico Rivera led the way for John Jay by going 3-for-4 with a double and a run.

Luca Altamirano,
Ronald Barillas and
Steven Donato each contributed two hits each.
The Bloodhounds led 1-0 after the top half of the first inning before the Falcons got four across in the bottom half to lead 4-1 after the first.
Then with a run in the top of the third, top of the sixth and top of the seventh, the Bloodhounds tied the game, and the score was 4-4 after six and a half innings.
But Albertus Magnus scored in the bottom of the seventh to go ahead 5-4, before getting another run in the bottom of the eighth to lead 6-4.
Albertus Magnus was led by Shane Osborne who was 3-for-4 with a triple, with two runs, a triple and a run batted in. Fellow teammate Robert Gambardella was 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run and a run batted in.
Donato suffered the loss after going 8.0 innings and allowing six runs (four earned) on six hits.
John Jay is back in action on Wednesday at Cairn University at 4 p.m.
